Colombian Rigoberto Uran (Col/EF Education First-Drapac p/b Cannondale) is the winner of the third stage of the 25thTour of Slovenia, the stage with the start in Slovenske Konjice and finish on the Celje Castle. Southafrican Darly Impey (Mitchelton – Scott) was third, Slovenian hero Primož Roglič (LottoNL-Jumbo) was third.

14:40, 4km to go: Matej Mohorič (Bahrain Merida) is 25 seconds ahead. But there is still 2 kilometers long climb to go.

14:35, 6km to go: Matej Mohorič (Bahrain Merida) is on the solo break, he got about 20 seconds on the descent. Will be that enough for the victory?

14:30: Primož Roglič won first serious climb on the race – climb to Celje hut. Another Slovenian now excels on the descent – Matej Mohorič (Bahrain Merida)

2ndcategory mountain finish – Celje hut (160 km):

14:23: There are ten cyclists in the leading group, close behind is another group that could catch the leaders on the descent.

14:19, 20km to go: Roglič has pushed really hard for couple of moments, and Rafal Majka was the only one that could follow. Slovenian backed down a little bit and let other to catch him.

14:16, 21km to go: Roglič’s helper has very strong pace, there are less and less riders in the leading group.

14:13, 22km to go: Breakaway riders had been caught on the start of the climb to Celje Hut. Primož Roglič has just one more teammate next to him.

14:10, 23km to go: Leaders are just one minute ahead. It’s just a matter of time when they will be caught. Main group is faster and faster.

Intermediate finish - Laško (150.4km):
1. Roger Kluge (Ger/Mitchelton – Scott)
2. Marcel Kittel (Ger/Katusha Alpecin)
3. Matteo Pelucchi (Ita/BORA Hansgrohe) 

14:00, 29km to go: Primož Roglič’s team LottoNL-Jumbo is now in the front row and is charging at very high pace. Gap of the leaders is melting fast. Germans Kittel and Kluge are just two minutes ahead.

13:55, 36km to go: Main group is closing in on the two leaders, they are now around 3 minutes ahead.

13:40, 42km to go: Kluge-Kittel duo is still fighting and pushing ahead. They are now 3 minnutes 40 seconds ahead.

13:35: It’s not often that a sprinter gets a mountain finish, despite the fact that is only 4thcategory. Kittel and Kluge are now 3 minutes 30 seconds ahead of the big group.

13:30: Leaders Kluge and Kittel are on the climb to Praproče, they are still around 4 minutes ahead of the main group.

13:20: Peleton has arrived from Savinja Valley to Trojane in the Zagorje, home of Primož Roglič. There are more and more fans next to the road, of course the most of them support Primož Roglič.

13:15, 106km: Leaders lost couple of seconds during the climb to Trojane. They are now 4 minutes ahead.

13:05, 103km: Kittel and Kluge still have a nice lead ahead of the main group. It’s now under five minutes, it’s at 4:40.

12:55: Average speed after two hours of the race is 45km/h.

12:30, 77km: Lead of is not shrinking (5:30), but let’s be hones, this is just the begging of the race. Climbs will start soon, and the leaders shouldn’t have much chances there – at least not on paper.

12:00, 63km: No changes in the last kilometers, leaders have a gap of five minutes.

Intermediate finish - Šentjur (61,7km):
1. Roger Kluge (Ger/Mitchelton – Scott)
2. Marcel Kittel (Ger/Katusha Alpecin)
3. Matej Mohorič (Slo/Bahrain Merida)

12:00, 54km: Leaders Marcel Kittel (Katusha Alpecin) and Roger Kluge (Mitchelton – Scott) are now on the roll, the are now 5 minutes and 20 seconds ahead.

11:55: Nippo Vinni Fantini’s cyclists who crashed has visited the team doctor and is now back in the race.

11:51, 49km: Leading duo is out of sight of the main group, and the gap is increasing. Kittel and Kluge are now 2 min 15 sec ahead.

11:48, 47km: We now have a real confirmation of the first successful breakaway. Lead is now at one minute and 10 seconds.

11:46, 46 km: Race leaders Kittel in Kluge are now 40 seconds ahead.

11:40, 42km: We have first successful break. Marcel Kittel (Katusha Alpecin) & Roger Kluge (Mitchelton – Scott) are half a minute ahead of the main group.

Team CCC Sprandi Polkowice also has their teams: “We’ll adjust to the situation on the race. Jan Tratnik will try to do something for sure, the rest of the team will help him,” said Marko Kump.

11:30, 31km: There was a new breakaway attempt. Trio had a lead of about 100 meters, but the main group caught them quickly.

11:25, 28km: Peloton is together. Gravel didn’t cause any problems to the riders. There were some calls for the mechanical help, but nothing serious.

11:20: There are 700 meters of gravel on the 26thkilometer – due to construction works. This is something that are cyclists use to, but caution will still be necessary.

11:10: We’re seeing breakaway attempts all the time, but so far all of them have been neutralized. This just shows how important is today’s stage for all the teams that count on overall victory. These teams don’t want to leave anything to a chance.

11:07, 15km: Main group is still together, we still don’t have a successful breakaway. We have a report that Croatian Deni Baniček (Meridiana Kamen) crashed and has left the race.

11:00, 12km: Breakaway group is too bi (12-15 cyclists), this is why the peloton doesn’t let them away.

10:55, 8km: Looks like we have a first breakaway. 12 cyclists are in the lead, main group is 18 seconds behind.

10:50: The race started for real. There are 150 cyclists left on the start. We saw first attempts of the breakaway right away.

10:45: Primož Roglič is one of the favorites for today stage, he’s also looking forward to say hello to fans from his hometown. “Race route goes across my part of the country and I’m really happy about it. I miss racing on the home roads and in front of home fans. It’s an honor to race on Tour of Slovenia.

Yesterday’s winner Dylan Groenewegen also promised he’ll help Primož: “We’ll work for Primož, after all this stage is important for the overall standings.”

Start - Slovenske Konjice

10:35: Overall leader Benjamin Hill: “It’s fantastic to wear the green jersey, I still can belive it. I’ll give my best to keep the jersey, but my chances are at zero.”

Third stage will be very vibrant and hard, almost 176 kilometers long. Hardest part of the day is on the route Trojane-Zagorje-Hrastnik and of course the final climbs to Celje Hut and final climb to Celje Castle.

Today's winner will not necessarily win the race, we still have a Queen mountain stage on Saturday and time trial on Sunday. But we'll see who has strong legs and who are those cyclists that will fight for the green jersey on the end. Australian Benjamin Hill (Ljubljana Gusto Xaurum) is wearing it today.

Especially emotional day will be our Slovenian overall favorite Primož Roglič, stage will also lead by his hometown Kisovec. Locals gave him a promise that it's going to be very loud...
