11:30: It’s not raining, but the clouds are very dark. It would be a real miracle if we would finish the stage in dry weather.

11:25: Cyclists had crossed the zero kilometer mark and the race starts for real. Of course we already saw first attack right after the signal from the commissar. Individuals are already trying to escape.

11:20: Cyclists are looking for their positions in the closed ride, the race will start for real in couple of minutes.
11:15: Rafal Majka also crashed on Wednesday and he does feel some consiqences from his landing on the asphalt. Same goes for Adria’s Dušan Rajović, but he’s also adding that that will not bother him too much.

Start - Maribor

We’re ahead of very vibrant, 152,7km long stage that will also have 3rd category climb (Planina nad Sevnico), and a difficult descent after. Riders will have to stay focused and careful that they don’t crash there.

But this climb is still far away from the finish line, so we expect that the main group will come to the finish together, and the winner should be decided in the sprint finish.

Italian Simone Consonni is a surprising winner of the first stage, today big stars like Mark Cavendish, Marcel Kittel and also unfortunate Caleb Ewan, who crashed yesterday, will seek their piece of the cake.
