William o svoji mami: Želim si, da bi spoznala mojo družino

 

[@KensingtonRoyal] (Swipe left for more pictures) As part of the Heads Together campaign, The Duke of Cambridge has been interviewed on mental health for the July edition of British GQ. The interview was conducted by mental health campaigner Alastair Campbell. His Royal Highness was photographed for the magazine with The Duchess, Prince George and Princess Charlotte by Norman Jean Roy at Kensington Palace in April. ◾ Prince William on missing his mother Diana, Princess of Wales: "I would like to have had her advice. I would love her to have met Catherine and to have seen the children grow up. It makes me sad that she won’t, that they will never know her." ◾ Prince William on the importance of family: "I could not do my job without the stability of the family. Stability at home is so important to me. I want to bring up my children in a happy, stable, secure world and that is so important to both of us as parents." ◾ Prince William reveals the ultimate goal of the Heads Together campaign: "Smashing the taboo is our biggest aim...we must tackle the taboo, the stigma, for goodness sake, this is the 21st century. "Rad bi slišal njene nasvete," je princ povedal o svoji mami, ki je umrla pred skoraj 20 leti v prometni nesreči v Parizu. "Rad bi, da bi spoznala Catherine in videla, kako otroka odraščata. Žalosten sem, ker ju ne bo videla, ker je otroka ne bosta nikoli spoznala," je dodal.

O prihajajoči 20. obletnici Dianine smrti je povedal: "Zdaj sem bolj pomirjen s tem kot nekoč, o njej lahko odgovorim bolj odprto, bolj odkrito, ko se je lahko bolje spomnim in bolje javno govorim o njej. Za to sem potreboval skoraj 20 let. Še vedno težko govorim o tem, ker je bilo tako surovo."

Ob intervjuju so nastale tudi nove fotografije mlade družine, na kateri se William in  Kate s svojima otrokoma Georgeem in Charlotte igrata v travi. Fotografije so nastale aprila na območju Kensingtonske palače, kamor se bo družina septembra preselila iz Norfolka.

Štiriintridesetletni princ je spregovoril tudi o svoji družini in kako pomembna je zanj: "Svojega dela ne bi mogel opravljati brez stabilnosti družine. Stabilnost doma je zame zelo pomembna. Svoje otroke želim vzgajati v srečnem, stabilnem, varnem svetu in to je pomembno za naju oba."

"Hočem, da George odraste v resničnem okolju. Ne želim, da odrašča za zidovi palače. Zaradi medijev je to težje, a se bom boril, da bosta oba imela normalno življenje," je povedal o svojih dveh otrokih.
