Adria Mobil in seventh heaven: Kump takes the stage, Roglič gets yellow jersey
Former ski jumper Primož Roglič, earlier in the season already an overall winner on the Tour of Azerbaijan, took the yellow jersey on Saturday on the king mountain stage with the finish to Trije Kralji. Day later, in the last stage, he had no problems to defend the yellow jersey with the help of his teammates.
Janez Brajkovič was the last Slovenian to win the Tour of Slovenia, that happened in 2012.
Roglič took 11th victory for the Slovenians, foreigners also have 11 victories.
15:41, 5 km till the finish : Riders entered the last lap around Novo mesto. Team Adria Mobil Cycling is up in the front and makes sure that Roglič will get to the finish safely.
15:40, 7 km till the finish: Jacobs is caught. Only seven kilometers left.
15:30, 10 km till the finish: Belgian riders is pedaling like crazy, but it’s already clear that he doesn’t have a chance for a solo finish. The main group is just seconds behind him.
15:30, 12 km till the finish: Italian Berlato was caught by the big group, but we already saw a new jump. Escapee is very active rider today, Belgian Pieter Jacobs (Bel/Topsport).
15:19: Giacomo Berlato (Ita/Nippo) has attacked and is about ten seconds ahead of main group; his jump represents no danger to the best sprinters.
15:05: 26 kilometers before the finish of the stage, the escapees are caught and the peloton is back in one big group.
15:00: Peloton went across the finish line on the main square for the first time, the breakaway group is now only half a minute ahead.
14:56 Riders are already in Novo mesto, now they will do six more laps around the city. Escapees are still 45 seconds ahead.
14:50, 120 km: Only 45,5 kilometers separates the riders from the end of 2015 Tour of Slovenia. Breakaway group is now under a minute ahead of the main group and we can expect they will be caught shortly. Best sprinters will fight for the stage victory.
14:40, 115 km: The lead of the escaping group is melting – now they are only one minute and ten seconds ahead.
14:35 V Trebnjem je kolesarje pričakalo lepo število glasnih navijačev, ki so v šprintu na letečem cilju videli zmago Italija Alessandra Malagutija (Nippo).
14:25: Looks like team Lampre had enough of the “amateur” pace, they went in the front row of the peloton and started the chase.
14:20: Cyclist passed the 100 kilometer mark and are almost in Trebnje, the location of the intermediate sprint. Breakaway group with seven riders is now almost three minutes ahead.
14:10: Cyclist went across the last mountain finish on this years Tour of Slovenia. Russian Eduard Vorganov (Team Kathusha) was the first across it. Escapees are still around two minutes ahead of the main group.
14:00: After two hours of racing the average speed is down to 43 km/h. Leading seven riders are exactly two minutes ahead.
13:40, 75 km: Escape is still successful, the leading riders are now two minutes and 40 seconds ahead of the main group.
13:35: Breakaway group increased the gap. Now they are over two minutes ahead of the main group.
13:25: Cyclist are already on the climb towards first mountain finish in Budna Vas. Seven escapes now have a gap of two minutes and a half.
13:15: And we got it – the first successful breakaway of the day. Seven riders - Eduard Vorganov (Rus/Katusha), Christopher Jones (USA/UnitedHealthcare), Pieter Jacobs (Bel/Topsport), Andrea Fedi (Ita/SouthEast), Gianfranco Zilioli (Ita/Androni), Juan Pablo Valencia (Col/Colombia) in Alessandro Malaguti (Ita/Nippo) – are about two minutes ahead of the main group. As expected team Adria Mobil with the yellow jersey controls the pace of the main group.
13:00: After first hour of racing, the average speed is 49 km/h, so it’s not a surprise that we didn’t have any escapes. We expected slower and more relaxed day, but riders have different plans and want to get to Novo mesto and the finish of the race as soon as possible.
12:50, 40 km: We still didn’t was a successful escape. Cyclist from teams Lampre and Bardiani are most active in these unsuccessful attempts.
12:35, 27 km: Adria Mobil riders don’t allow any chances and continue to neutralize every attempt of the breakaway.
12:30: There are still quite a few points available on the todays stage – we have four intermediate and two mountain finishes.
12:20, 17 km: Six riders were about 50 meters ahead of the main group, and just as we were to call it a breakaway, the group was caught. Pace of the group – with Adria Mobil in the first row – is very fast, they do
12:10: Weather is nice and pleasant in the start of the stage, but the field reporters are saying that they are going straight towards the stormy cloud. Peloton is stretched out because of many attacks, but team Adria has neutralized them all.
12:05, 5 km: Classic situation on the start of the race. We saw first attempts of breakaways, but for now nobody succeed at it. Riders are still in one group.
12:00: Race is on – last stage of 22nd Tour of Slovenia has begun. Adria Mobil will try to bring Roglič to Novo mesto as a winner, but he only has five seconds ahead of Spaniard Mikel Nieve (Team Sky).
11:55 Quite a few rider left the race on Saturday, so we only had 116 competitors on the start in Rogaška Slatina.
11:50: Cyclist are on their way on the last stage of the 22nd edition of Tour of Slovenia. First they will have 8 kilometers of peaceful ride, around noon the serious racing will begin.

Adria Mobil's Primož Roglič is in the yellow after Saturday's king mountain stage and most likely he already won the race. Only an extraordinary event like a crash or something else can take the jersey from him, but his teammates will do everything to bring the yellow jersey safe and sound to Novo mesto.
Winner of the last stage will be decided in the finish sprint of the peloton, everything else would be a big surprise. Team Adria Mobil will do everything to take the victory in the home city and create another hero. This means that Marko Kump, aka Arrow from Dolenjska, will have to take the stage with the finish line on the main square in Novo mesto; he already did that on 2009 edition of the Tour of Slovenia, but also other teams have their plans. We shouldn't forget Italian cyclist that swept the competition in second stage and took first six places in the sprint.
You can again watch the finish of the race in live broadcast on our website.
